Every field a forwarder needs before a quote is a real number rather than a guess. Fill it in on paper or on screen, then copy it into WhatsApp — nothing here is submitted anywhere.

- What the goods actually are
Plain description, not a model number. It decides classification, whether a permit applies, and whether an airline will carry it.

Optional here, essential later. If the supplier gave you one, pass it on — it is a starting point, not a final classification.

Cartons, pallets, crates or drums. Pallet dimensions and count matter more than carton count once cargo is palletised.

Gross, including packaging and pallets. Air freight bills on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so an understated figure re-prices at the airport.

DDP is never unconditional — the country, the commodity and the importing entity all decide whether it is possible. Naming the importer early avoids quoting something that cannot be delivered.
