What DDP actually means

Under DDP the seller carries the cost and risk to the named destination, including import duty and taxes. For a China-origin shipment, we can arrange a compliant structure covering export, freight, partner-broker clearance and delivery, including for customers without their own local import qualifications. It is never unconditional: destination, commodity, scope, feasibility and importer of record are confirmed per shipment on WhatsApp.

The question that decides everything

Who is the importer of record. That single answer determines whether DDP is possible, who is liable if customs reassesses the value, and whose name appears on the import declaration. We confirm it with the scope and feasibility for each shipment on WhatsApp before booking. "We will sort it on arrival" is how cargo ends up in a bonded warehouse accruing storage.

How to compare two DDP quotes

Ask three things of each: what tariff classification the duty was calculated on, who will be importer of record, and what happens if customs disagrees with the declared value. A quote that cannot answer the first is estimating; one that cannot answer the second is deferring; one that cannot answer the third has put the risk on you without saying so.

We do not publish a categorical exclusion list, but we do not promise DDP blindly. DDP or DAP — which should I ask for?

DAP stops before import duty and taxes; DDP includes them. If you have your own customs setup and want the import on your record, DAP is usually cleaner. If you do not have your own local import qualifications, ask us on WhatsApp to assess a compliant DDP structure for that shipment.

Can I get the pedimento in my company’s name under DDP?

That depends entirely on who acts as importer of record, which is why the structure must be agreed before booking. If you need the declaration in your name, say so on WhatsApp at quote stage; we will confirm scope, feasibility and importer of record for that shipment, and it may mean DAP rather than DDP.
