Colombia, Chile and the rest of Latin America

Outside Mexico the region stops behaving like one market. Colombia routes its prior authorisations through VUCE and its declarations through the DIAN; Chile, Peru and Ecuador each have their own single window and their own list of what needs a permit; Bolivia and Paraguay have no coastline at all and arrive through someone else's port. What travels well between them is the ocean routing — most of the west coast is served off the same Asia strings — so the country guides below focus on what changes at the border rather than on the sailing.
